Motel Policies FAQs

Check-in is guaranteed by 3 PM. Please call ahead if you need an earlier check-in and we will do our best to accommodate. (We appreciate calling ahead -vs- just stopping by which greatly slows down our work rhythm. We are a small (but mighty) staff and there’s lots to do to make sure everything is to our very best standards before you arrive!)

Check-out is at 11 AM, but let us know if you need a later check-out and we will do our best to arrange it for you.

The cancellation policy is 48 hours in advance of check in, with a possible additional time required for multiple rooms. See Motel Policies page for more information.

No, we do not charge a booking fee or deposit.

A 5.5% state tax and an 8% room tax are applied. We do not charge any additional booking or “resort” fees. All you pay is the base room rate and applicable taxes, that’s it. No surprises here.

We do, however, charge additional fees for extra persons, pets and cots. (please visit Motel Policies page for more information)

Children 5 and above are welcome. Kids 5-12 sleep for free. Infants and small children just aren’t a good fit in a small hotel like ours. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Prior approval required. Well-behaved and freshly bathed pets are welcome in first-floor rooms only (120-128) for $10 per night. Contact management for approval by calling 920-743-5571. Please read the pet policies before booking.

The motel is handicap accessible on the first floor through the main entrance, however, rooms are not ADA compliant. Please contact us for more information.

Sorry, we do not have an elevator BUT we are built into a hill so all 2nd floor rooms are accessible from street level.

The motel is a 100% non-smoking facility. Smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas outside, and cigarette butts must be properly disposed of. A $250 fine and immediate removal from the motel regardless of hour and without refund for smoking violations.

Unfortunately, we do not hold blocks of rooms for groups or events. It is easiest for us (and, frankly, for you as well) to just have your guests call us direct.

We are not a music themed motel, we are a place that creates and fosters the creation of original music… Since 2006 over 1500 songs have been written and recorded here at the motel.
